I was absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted at the Cyber Security Awards held on 21st June 2018.
It was a privilege to attend and many congratulations to all the winners and highly commended individuals and organisations. It was highly encouraging to see so many women in security not only winning awards, with particular congratulations to Chelsea C who won in my category. There are still not enough women in Security, but those who are, continue to fly the flag so positively for an industry I am so excited to be a part of.
The evening was a typical awards bash with an edgy choice of compere in George Lewis (don’t mention Tenable!). There was plenty of time to catch up with peers from the industry and it was lovely to meet everyone. Naturally the competitor inside was disappointed not to have won, but I remain immensely humbled that I was even shortlisted by some leading industry peers, including the lovely Neira Jones.
My first 12 months in the world of Security & Data Protection have absolutely flown by and tonight was a great way to celebrate it and look forward to the next 12! Cue cheesy awards photo:
